The caregivers we hire have already chosen this field as their life’s work.  Sometimes people hire well-meaning individuals who have no experience and think that a week or two of training can substitute for years and years of experience.  It cannot.  None of our caregivers are trying out this job to see if it fits.  They are professionals who have many years of experience.

Our caregivers have a broad range of skills necessary to do their job well.   They provide companion care which requires certain social skills in order to develop a successful relationship.  Providing home assistance care requires experience and home management skills.  Our caregivers have not only been trained, but have had much prior experience providing personal care services such as bathing, transferring, eating, grooming, dressing, and toileting.  The best caregivers are ones who can do various types of work and are flexible to meet your needs as they change.

THE BEST CAREGIVERS HAVE THE BEST REFERENCES

Since the best caregivers have worked for others, we can find out about the quality of their work.  When prior clients thought they were one of the best caregivers, it is likely that you will think they are one of the best too.  This is why we always require each caregiver to come with excellent references on the quality of their work as a caregiver.

It is important that our caregivers have a positive attitude.  You will interview your potential caregiver and decide for yourself if the caregiver is a good match for you.  People want to see that the caregiver is excited about working for them.

The best caregivers treat others with care and understanding. This is why when we recruit caregivers, we are looking for experienced caregivers who are kind and respectful even if things become difficult.

We work hard to be sure we can stand side by side with our caregivers knowing that they are honest, trustworthy and willing to work hard.   Sometimes, however, we know it may not turn out to be a good match between you and the caregiver.  When this happens, we simply work together to find a caregiver who is just right for you.

KINDS OF SERVICES OUR CAREGIVERS PROVIDE

Respite Care
In this role, they give the primary family caregiver time off to relax and recuperate.

Hospice Care
In conjunction with health services, our caregivers can provide hospice care.

24 Hour Care
Our caregivers can provide 24 hour shifts. This allows the older person to have one-on-one attention and around the clock supervision and monitoring.

Hourly Care
Our caregivers can work on an hourly basis with the hours being increased or decreased based on the changing needs of the older person.  This provides greater economy and flexibility than a facility which only offers full time care.
